Let’s pause a moment in the ego trip that is this blog, and share in some good news from someone else: my co-worker and friend who has been battling breast cancer for what seems like years — in reality, just one — asked me to drive her to the store to get her prescription, and told me the news: she is officially cancer-free.
I’m just amazed at her after all this. I know she had plenty of horrible, horrible days; and she was out of the office for months at a time. But when we saw her, she was always her inimitably cheerful and funny self.
I’m so happy for her, happy and proud of her strength.
