You know, there’s still plenty of fodder out there for my political rants; witness today’s resignation of Sandra O’Connor. But I’m not feeling the urge to write about it so much any more. Perhaps it’s just because I don’t think my frustrations with the right wing nutcases are doing any good; maybe it’s because so many other bloggers write about the same things — usually with far greater wit.
Or, it could be because there’s a shift happening, and I can feel it. It’s the kind of feeling you get when others around you start to wake up to what’s happening. It’s the hopeful signs of awareness, the shift in public opinion, and the realization that everyone’s been lied to. I think that’s happening, finally. I don’t feel incredibly optimistic, but at least I don’t feel alone any more.
So I won’t be filling my blog with political diatribes anymore.
Well, never say never — who knows what new outrages will come our way?
