Just As I Thought

Keep that spam in your pants

Those lazy spammers — now they’re not even bothering to trick me into reading their junk, sending out emails from David%LAST NAME and even a bunch of messages containing nothing at all.
Seems like they need a tech to troubleshoot their ^$(@&#!!~!! scripts.

What I like best is the spam I’ve been getting that is a news clipping about… that’s right, SPAM. The article, by Ray Everett-Church — had a date with him once, which in my hazy memory involved Chicken McNuggets… but I digress — says that Microsoft has bought a spyware firm that spams 40 million Windows users.
Makes me wonder how many millions of times this message has been sent courtesy of “SPAMIS,” which rotates among a series of defunct domain names. And what’s really worrisome: at the end of the email it says “Part 52 of 178.” Well, at least we know how much more to expect.

  • REC isn’t terribly happy having his article appropriated by notorious spammer Robert Soloway, and sent out as spam. REC is a prominent privacy advocate, and anti-spam lawyer.

Soloway just ain’t that bright. He’s making enemies right and left.
