Via This Is Broken comes this story of your tax money well spent: this restroom sign at the National Botanical Garden appears, at first glance, to be typical: it even features Braille for patrons with sight impairments.
The twist? The sign is hanging above the door, well out of range of a blind man’s fingers… which hardly matters anyway, because the Braille is printed on the sign, not embossed.
I have seen several DRIVE-UP atm’s with braile keypads.
I think I’ll stay off the road for a while.
