Seen at Chili’s at Santana Row, San Jose: this obviously non-functional ersatz door — which is placed about 4 feet off the floor, over a booth seat — nevertheless has an exit sign placed right next to it. I can only assume that the sign refers to the actual, functional exit door located on the wall to the right, but one has to ask: how many Chili’s margaritas did the fire marshal have before he approved this?
