Just As I Thought

Microclimates, indeed

It has been a weird weather day here. This morning, it looked like rain, but didn’t rain. We did, however, get a decent amount of snow on the mountains. It was strange, here in the valley it was clear and sunny, but surrounding the valley, clouds hung to the mountaintops and the tops were white with snow. Actually, it was sort of idyllic.
Then a few moments ago, it started to hail. I opened the curtains to look out, and discovered that it was sunny and clear over the backyard — I leaned my head out into the hail and saw a large dark cloud directly over our street. All around it was clear, but right here and right now, hail was falling.
And then, it was over. The lone cloud has moved on, leaving me with the feeling that this was personal in some way.
