Now, we all know that the Bush family has strong ties with royals in the Middle East; including the rulers of the UAE — this, of course, calls into question his defense of the ports deal. The saga continues today with the news that the Dubai firm that was to take over the American ports has decided to shift its U.S. business to a U.S. firm. Whether they will sell it or simply use sleight of hand to make it appear that they are no longer involved is yet to be seen.
