I’m sufficiently recovered from last weekend’s exhausting fun. All the pictures were taken by other people, so I’ll have to work on getting them over here — here are some by Thom.
Lots of trips around the Bay Area with Sara & Lance and the girls, and my Aunt Maura (who was returning to San Jose for the first time in decades) and my mom (who was just here a week or so ago after my heart attack). We spent the day in San Francisco wandering through shops in Chinatown, a day in Santa Cruz on the Boardwalk, a little Japanese gift shop at Santana Row, dinner at Original Joe’s, and a fun party here on Saturday. I’ve never had a successful party before, so this was a blast and it seems like everyone had a good time, including me — rare and mysterious, I know.
Now it’s back to work — putting together the screenings for the DC Shorts Film Festival, coming September 14-21 in Washington DC. I won’t be able to fly out for it, but if you go you can see my handiwork on the screen before every show.
