Just As I Thought

Public Throughway

I know I’ve written about this before, but it continues to irk me: people keep pulling into my driveway, using it to turn around on our street.
Now, I know that we have a narrow street here, and my driveway — if I do say so myself — is probably the nicest on the street with lots of room (since I park my car at the end by the garage) and a lovely pressed-concrete surface that looks like slate. Still, it is very disconcerting to be sitting in my living room when a car pulls into the driveway… I know, of course, that it is never anyone I know, since I know no one here in San Jose; but I am still disappointed when the car pauses then pulls back out into the street to go the other way.
It’s enough to make me want to put up gates, you know?
