Just As I Thought

The cute guys with the unusual names

Now, I seem to remember that I complained once about not having a hottie for a mayor. I mean, San Francisco has the gorgeous Gavin; while San Jose is stuck with the indicted Ron. But who knows what the future has in store?

Say hello to Pierluigi Oliverio, a candidate for San Jose City Council. He stopped by my house today to chat about his candidacy (the first and only candidate to do so). Trust me, that picture doesn’t do him justice — he’s much better looking in person.

This is what we need: more male models in politics and fewer jowly guys like Tom DeLay or monkey-faced creeps like George Bush.

Who knows? Maybe Oliverio will make it to the city council, then in 6 years, mayor? Finally, San Jose will be on par with San Francisco, eh?

Of course, I don’t know enough about this guy’s positions yet so I’m certainly not endorsing his political ambitions. But his genes are obviously qualified for office. I, for one, would be watching those interminable city council meetings on the government channel more often.

And why don’t they have a swimsuit competition in elections, anyway?

  • I hope you get a chance soon to meet another District 6 candidate, Clark Williams. Clark is the only candidate who has been endorsed by the incumbent, Councilmember Ken Yeager. Clark also happens to be openly gay and proud. If you have any questions about his qualifications and positions, feel free to email Clark at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

  • I met him as well. At first I thought he must be Republican with that hair. We asked him if he supported Gay Marriage and he said Yes. Maybe Gavin Jr.
