I didn’t want to do it. I still don’t want to do it. But I am obviously weak-willed and malleable.
Here I sit on the cold mall floor with Jann, outside the Apple store at Oakridge Mall in San Jose.
What in the world is wrong with me?
7:45pm
Who knew that six hours waiting in line at the mall could be so tiring? Not only that, but I am almost deaf. The mall is insanely loud, continuously.
I’m wiped out and about to go to bed, but let me say one thing about the iPhone: usually when one sees a demo of a computer or the like, the reality is quite different. Not so with the iPhone. It looks and acts exactly like the demos. It’s that fast, the screen is that beautiful and high-resolution. And it took just a couple of minutes to activate it. Easy, quick, beautiful.
And expensive.
9:50pm
Get this: the special mobile version of this site looks crappy on the iPhone, and the regular version looks great! Hmm.
Meanwhile, I used the phone to edit this entry. The keyboard is surprisingly fast to use.
Your title of this post is very ironic given this story- http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070629/od_afp/nigeriaeducationit_070629183418
You didn’t bring a folding lawn chair like everyone else?
