“He pointed out a digital clock in the convention hall tabulating the amount of additional national debt accrued during the proceedings, telling the delegates and journalists that “we also wanted to draw your attention to the unprecedented fiscal recklessness of the Obama administration.”
The Republicans have succesfully convinced people that the President (Well, Obama, not Bush) is responsible for runaway government spending. But Congress has the fiscal power in our system of government. Congress passes the laws, Congress allocates the money. Now, whom do you suppose is running Congress?
