Every year when I celebrate my birthday, I always celebrate along with Alice Ghostley – one of my very favorite actresses. There’s never been a wacky character of hers that I didn’t like. From the nervously hilarious Esmerelda in “Bewitched” to the fabulous Bernice (with the arterial flow problem above the neck) in “Designing Women” – oh, and “Jackie Gleason”, “Grease,” “Jonathan Winters Show”, and too many more to mention.
So, here’s to you, Alice. I’m so proud to share your birthday, and I hope we share many, many more.
