The beginning of the 48 Hour Film Project was difficult, with an incredibly long session to try to break the story and get a filmable script. Tempers were flaring, nerves were frayed. I think that the main problem was one of too many cooks — there were simply too many people there to come up with a simple, coherent story. Eventually we settled on something, but I don’t think any of us is totally thrilled with it. But I have faith that we will make it into something much more than what’s on the page.
