Just As I Thought

Keep dreaming

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by their character.

On this day in 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to call for equality.
Despite the claims this country has made since it was founded, equality is a dream that is still not complete. From the color of their skin to their religion to their sexuality, groups of human beings in this country are still demonized, hated, and discriminated against.
Isn’t it about time this ended?
Isn’t it about time we were all equal?

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.
