This is an important breaking news bulletin from beautiful Tuscany Hills in San Jose, California.
It’s raining.
Granted, it’s an ineffectual sprinkle, but you should note that I haven’t even unpacked my umbrella since I moved here.
[3:32pm: well… now it’s stopped raining.]
Earlier today I happened to be on weather.com, comparing monthly average temperature and rainfall between here (Arlington) and the Bay Area — I like charts — and yeah, the contrast is very striking: throughout the year Arlington has wide seasonal temperature variations but more evenly distributed rainfall trends, while San Jose varies less in temperature but has an inverse bell-curve of rainfall, dipping to almost no rain in the summer.
