The courts say repeal. The White House says repeal. The secretary of defense says repeal. The troops say repeal. The majority of Americans say repeal. Congressional Democrats say repeal.
In other words, the only thing standing in the way of yet another step toward equality is the Republican party. So, nothing new there.
Seriously, the GOP is simply the party of bigotry, fear, regressiveness, and petty xenophobia. A bunch of Americans who detest other Americans, who hate freedom, and can’t stand the thought of equality.
Amazing how this party just keeps positioning themselves on the wrong side of history — and yet, this position keeps bringing them back to power. ‘Cos there are always bigots and morons who will buy into irrational fear mongering.
