Windows XP crashing.
I’m sure the weather guys are loving this — they were in the midst of tracking serious storms, with dangerous lightning, and the computer went nuts. I watched as they debated quitting the process, and eventually they had to. They were broadcasting the blue screen of death. Now, I’m waiting for their PC to reboot — it’s taking forever
Oh, look at that startup screen: they have a Dell.
2 minutes later, still not booted. Just a plain white screen.
Yup, those PCs are really high-reliability machines.
The lightning is starting to pick up, the weather is getting rough… and still no desktop on their PC. How much do you want to bet that Doug Hill is about to throw that PC out of the studio’s street-level windows?
4 minutes now, and still waiting with an hourglass cursor. My Mac would have been booted in 20 seconds.
